Cookie and browser-storage policy

1. Necessary storage and legal basis

The website uses cookies and similar browser storage to remember its displayed language and, where requested, operate sign-in, application preferences and recovery functions. Storage strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by you is based on section 25(2) TDDDG. Associated personal-data processing relies on the bases in the Privacy Policy, including contract performance and legitimate interests in secure operation.

Optional behavioural analytics, page-view/presence tracking, advertising cookies and cross-site pixels are disabled in this version. Accepting Terms or acknowledging privacy does not authorise optional tracking. A separate choice must be offered before any such processing is introduced.

2. Storage used by the website

The actual keys used for sign-in and application functions can depend on the authentication project and browser. The following categories describe the current functions.

• Language cookie kc_public_locale: stores EN or DE for routing/display; configured lifetime up to 365 days, refreshed on a relevant visit.
• Authentication local storage: stores the provider’s account session/tokens where you request sign-in; remains until sign-out, expiry or deletion of site data, depending on session configuration.
• Application local/session storage: requested navigation preferences and, where an application function is used, account-scoped project-recovery drafts; local storage can persist until removed, while session storage generally ends with that browser tab session.
• Service worker and Cache Storage: application resources used for requested offline support; may remain until the cache is updated or site data is removed. Private cloud content still needs appropriate access checks.

3. Your browser and device choices

You can view, block or delete cookies and website storage in your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in, language preferences or requested recovery functions from working. Before clearing data, export and verify any unsynchronised project work. Sign-out is not a guarantee that every local draft or downloaded file has been erased. Use a trusted device, protect local access and review stored copies periodically.

The language cookie and authentication session are separate from optional marketing choices. No advertising or analytics permission is bundled into account acceptance. External sites selected through links have their own cookie and privacy policies.
